To revise for an important exam, first I look at the sylabus that important. Next I make a study plan for fixed a good time to study. Than I will find a quite place to start my study like in a study room. I'm usually study at night because situation in that time was very quite.
Before start make a notes , I will searches for important point about the topic that I was read. Than I uses my exercises book to make notes like write a main point or mind map.
After make notes, I will remember the main point that I was makes. Finally I'm usually take break about 5 to 10 minute like make a cup of coffee before continue my study again.
