Wellington, NZ


Wellington is the capital of New Zealand, also known as the "Windy City" due to its historically fierce winds & weather as Wellywood. It's stands at the South-western tip of the North Island on Cook Strait. Wellington’s climate offers four distinct seasons. Typical summer daytime maximum air temperatures range from 19°C to 24°C, and seldom exceed 30°C. Annual sunshine per year average about 169 days, more than many of the other major centres. The current population of Wellington city was estimated to be 190,500 and about 460,000 people live in the Wellington region. Wellington is famous with their arts & culture capital. It has a reputation for it's pictureque natural harbour & green hillsides adorned with suburbs of colonial villas. There are many interesting places to visit such as Te Papa Tongarewa (the Musuem of New Zealand), Wellington Botanic Garden, Cable Car, Karori Wildlife Sanctuary and much more.
